Here is an at-a-glance guide to help you get acquainted with the three websites you’ll use on a regular basis. You can find more information on these websites in the When to use CIRB, IRBManager and CTSU websites Quickguide.

Helpful Hints

  • You’ll find the audiences served by the CIRB on the top navigation bar.
  • Each of these will take you to a new page, with “How-to” Quickguides listed on the left navigation bar.
  • These Quickguides contain the information you’ll need to complete the related task.

    • The CIRB is your primary platform for facilitating the review and approval of cancer-related clinical trials. The following information will be especially useful as you get started.

    • The Cancer Trials Support Unit (CTSU) website includes CIRB study and enrollment information used by the investigators. Some of the content you’ll find here includes:
      • CIRB-approved study-related documents and approval letters
      • Oncology Patient Enrollment Network (OPEN)
      • Roster Update Management System (RUMS)

What you’ll find here

    • Worksheets required by the CIRB
    • User Dashboard

Access

    • IAM account or IRBManager account and associated with the CIRB roster

Roles and Resources

    • For Local Context staff, IRBManager houses all the Local Context Worksheets you’ll need. These include:
      • Annual Signatory Institution and Annual PI Worksheets
      • Study-Specific, Change of PI, and Study Closure Worksheets
      • Unanticipated Problem and/or Noncompliance Worksheet
      • Requesting an Assent Waiver Worksheet
      • Notification of Incarcerated Participant Worksheet
    • For the Network Group staff, IRBManager is where you'll complete the Continuing Review Applications for studies covered by the CIRB.
